As a derivative dance from traditional Angolan Semba, Kizomba is a versatile partner dance that has been spreading and evolving for the past few decades. The dance migrated to Europe via Portugal, eventually landing in Paris where it was fused other contemporary music and dance styles to create what are now referred to as Urban Kiz and Kiz Fusion.
Dancekiz Pedagogy
After dancing across 15+ countries and teaching on 5 continents, we’ve worked to refine the “Kiz Rudiments” - a collection of universal techniques and concepts that empower Kiz dancers to lead and follow almost any contemporary move, be fluent with Kiz musicality, and succeed social dancing Kiz anywhere in the world.
Our workshops are beneficial for all levels of Kiz dancer, and will effectively teach the Rudiments along with relevant musicality techniques and fun tricks that are easy to lead and follow.
