As a DJ and Producer, DJ Zay’X is a force in the Kizomba world having won the coveted “World’s Best Kizomba DJ” Award both in 2018 and 2019.

He has been headlining dance and music festivals for over a decade, helped pioneer Contemporary Kizomba dance and music styles, and has rocked studios and stages with such artists as Elji, Jennifer Dias, C4 Pedro, Kaysha, Lil Saint, Stony, Badoxa, Jasmine, Mika Mendes, and Atim. His remixes are often acknowledged and even utilized by the original artists, such as a recent social media feature of the DJ Zay’X remix of Ye by Burna Boy.

DJ Zay’X and HAMSA have been collaborating to help expand the reach and audience of Kizomba and other Afro-derivative music and dance styles - raising the musical bar, extending opportunities to under-recognized artists, and working to build a cultural bridge between Africa, Europe, and the USA.
